In December 2007, CSL was retained by the Hendricks County Convention and Visitors Bureau to conduct a feasibility study related to the potential development of a new hotel/conference center in Plainfield, which is located approximate to the Indianapolis International Airport and 20 miles from downtown Indianapolis.

Key study components are to include the analysis of local market conditions, competitive/comparable projects, hotel market demand, conference space market demand, development scenarios, performance projections, project cost assessment, financial operations, economic and fiscal impacts and funding alternatives. The study will estimate the "feasibility gap" that exists, representing the level of incentive likely required of the public sector to facilitate interest in the project by private sector partners.

Previously in 2003, CSL project managers directed a study to evaluate the feasibility of a conference center in Hendricks County. An important goal of the facility was to retain and attract non-local and local events to the area that presently cannot be accommodated by existing facilities in the community.
