CSL International assisting Yakima County Development Association in evaluating ballpark renovation and development options

The Yakima County Development Association retained CSL International to assess the feasibility of various potential ballpark renovation and development options that would help ensure the long-term future of the Yakima Bears of the Class A Northwest League. CSL conducted an analysis of the local market and collected information on the physical and operational characteristics of recently constructed or renovated minor league ballparks. Surveys of local corporations, residents and past Bears ticket purchasers were conducted to assess interest in purchasing tickets and premium seating at an improved facility, preferred development option (renovation or new construction) and acceptance of public funding vehicles. Based on this research, CSL prepared event, attendance and financial estimates for each development scenario, and conducted a funding analysis to identify potential funding sources for a ballpark renovation or construction project. CSL recently issued a draft report summarizing this research, and will be working with project representatives to finalize the study in the coming weeks.
