CSL International completes evaluation of motorsports facility development options in Oklahoma City

The City of Oklahoma City retained CSL International to conduct a motorsports analysis to assess the current physical and operational characteristics of the Oklahoma State Fair Grandstand, and to develop recommendations regarding the future of the Grandstand and/or potential new motorsports facility development in Oklahoma City. CSL’s research included an analysis of the Grandstand’s current physical and operational characteristics and an analysis of demographic characteristics and motorsports offerings in comparable markets. Interviews were conducted with various sanctioning bodies to understand the types of racing events that could be held at an improved motorsports facility in Oklahoma City. This research, CSL provided the City with the information needed to evaluate potential development opportunities relating to the Grandstand and potential new motorsports facilities. Finally, a site analysis was conducted to compare the relative strengths and weaknesses of various sites that could accommodate potential new motorsports facility development.
