CSL to conduct market and financial assessment of potential arena solutions for the City of Edmonton, Alberta.

Northlands, the operator of Rexall Place, has hired CSL to conduct an analysis that will assist in examining various arena alternatives for the City of Edmonton. Rexall Place is the host venue of the Edmonton Oilers of the NHL. Currently, preliminary plans are underway that could see the development of a new arena for the Oilers in Edmonton. CSL has been retained to assess the market and financial scenarios related to Rexall Place should a new arena be developed. The study will include an assessment of local market characteristics, interviews with arena stakeholders to identify arena uses that will most benefit the community, an analysis of comparable major arenas in North America that have been redeveloped and the identification of feasible uses for Rexall Place. In addition, CSL will conduct a financial analyses related to various operating scenarios for both a new arena and Rexall Place.
