Dickies Arena - Fort Worth, Texas
CSL was engaged by Event Facilities Ft. Worth to conduct a market and financial feasibility study related to the development of a new multi-purpose arena in Ft. Worth. As part of the planning process, CSL assessed the demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of the Dallas/Ft. Worth market, evaluated the existing and planned sports and entertainment facilities in the regional area, benchmarked the operations of comparable, multi-purpose municipal arenas from around the country, conducted a series of focus groups and one-on-one interviews with a variety of existing and potential individual and corporate buyers in the regional area to understand their interest in purchasing a variety of general and premium seat offerings, and interviewed a number of local, regional, and national event promoters to gauge their interest in bringing events to the facility.
Based on the market research conducted, CSL estimated the annual event utilization for the proposed arena, made recommendations regarding the general and premium seat building program, and estimated the financial performance of the arena over a 30-year period. In addition to the market and financial analysis, CSL was also engaged to provide ongoing marketing and sales consulting services related to premium seating, sponsorships, and naming rights.
In 2015, CSL was re-engaged by Event Facilities Ft. Worth to update the utilization and financial operating projections for the arena. The 14,000-seat Dickies Arena opened in 2019 at a total cost of $540 million.
