John Kaatz

John Kaatz is a Principal with CSL with more than 30 years of industry experience. John’s expertise involves in-depth analyses for hundreds of convention, conference and tradeshow centers, nationally and abroad. The results of these studies have been used to assist public and private sector entities in preparing focused strategic plans for convention and visitor-generating investments that address gaps in industry infrastructure, and that are supported from a market demand perspective.

The breadth of John’s experience ranges from convention and destination planning studies in major markets such as Orlando, Dallas, Phoenix, San Antonio, Las Vegas, San Diego and Toronto; to smaller and mid-sized markets including West Palm Beach, Cincinnati, Louisville, Lexington, Palm Springs, San Jose and Grand Rapids.

John has been asked to speak at numerous industry forums and seminars related to trends in the convention and visitor industry, facility market analysis and the fiscal and economic impacts associated with the convention and visitor industry. Prior to joining CSL, John was the Director of Coopers & Lybrand’s Convention and Visitor Industry Consulting Group based in Dallas.
